Sec. 5-4-1.
The mayor and councilmen elected under the provisions of
Section 5-2-12 shall each receive for the performance of their respective
duties annual salaries fixed by the council or village board. The corporate
authorities in cities which retain the election of aldermen by wards and
the corporate authorities in villages shall receive salaries as allowed in
Sections 3-13-4 through 3-13-7, whichever is appropriate.

Sec. 5-4-2.
The city or village manager shall receive the salary that is
fixed by ordinance of the council or board of trustees.

Sec. 5-4-3.
In cities of not less than 100,000 and not more than 500,000
population which did not also elect to continue to choose aldermen from
wards, the city clerk shall receive a salary of not less than $8,500 per
year and the city treasurer shall receive a salary of not less than $7,000
per year.
